April 17 : Presentation and hands-on workshop Canadian Mule and Donkey association April 24 : NEW! 'IQ training for your Horse' One day workshop Millarville, AB A day of experimental horse training: this workshop is meant for the clicker trainer with an interest in the science behind horse training. We will teach the horses the difference between colours and objects, we will experiment with different reinforcement schedules, lesson plans and record keeping. If you have some crazy idea that we can try just let me know, as long as it is not mainstream horse training! :-) April 25 : Demo with Sindra for Cochrane Pony Club 'What is Clicker Training? How do we use it with our horses?' April 28 : Presentation on 'Clicker Training for Horses' Performance Standardbreds, Calgary, AB April 30/May 1-2 : 'Intro to Clicker Training for Horses' Two day clinic (plus Friday eve) Saskatoon, SK May 8 : NEW! 'New to horses? Now what? One day workshop Millarville, AB You will learn about basic positive horse ownership, basic horse handling, stable management, nutrition, health and footwork. May 16 : 'Focus on Positive Horsemanship' One day workshop Millarville, AB Experience the power of Collaboration versus Domination!
May 29 : 'Troubleshooting' One day workshop Millarville, AB Learn how to solve common annoying horse problems! June 19 : 'Good on the ground means better in the saddle' One day Workshop Millarville, AB Good behaviour on the ground will transfer to your work in the saddle. June 26: 'Ride the jungle safely' One day workshop Millarville, AB Unspook your horse, be safe on the trail. Special focus on horses that scare easily. August 21-22 : Advanced clinic with Alexandra Kurland (author of: 'Clicker Training for your Horse') from Albany NY. Two day (plus Friday eve) clinic, tentatively booked. This is part three in a series of clinics. Only for people and horses with previous clicker training experience. If you are interested to attend this clinic and you don't have any experience please contact Ilse before July 1st so she can bring you and your horse up to speed. All these workshops and clinics have limited space and fill up quickly. So book now! All are open to spectators (unlimited space). As the year progresses other events will be listed on this sheet.
